It's a well known fact that hockey is a brutal sport. It is a sport in which the players are permitted to hit, smash, slash, and even get into full-scale fights with other players. Due to the vulgarity and ferocity of this great sport, the physical features of one's face tend to be distorted after many years of playing. After broken noses, cuts on the face, black eyes, brused lips, and busted jaws, players may not look much like they did prior to the start of their hockey career.
